Realtor Roundtable with Rosanne Foust, President/CEO at SAMCEDA

Last week, we were very fortunate to have the opportunity to catch up with Rosanne Foust, President & CEO of the San Mateo County Economic Development Association – an agency aimed at enhancing economic prosperity in SM County by promoting key business issues. Prior to her work with SAMCEDA, Rosanne served 12 years on Redwood City council, with two terms as vice mayor and one term as mayor. She has also served 10 years on the board of directors of the San Mateo County Transportation Authority, including five years as chair.

We previously met with Rosanne in in May of ’20, very early on in the pandemic, to discuss the efforts SAMCEDA was making to help support our local business community during what were incredibly challenging times. Now, over a year later, we invited her back to make some projections for our economy moving forward and hopefully beyond the COVID pandemic. Regarding the delta surge, she expressed optimism that our local community would avoid any additional significant set backs, citing San Mateo County’s nearly 90% vaccination rate (among those eligible for the vaccine).

You can view Rosanne’s presentation below, which highlights the word SAMCEDA has been doing throughout the pandemic, and looks at some economic data from the past year plus.

Thank you so much Rosanne for taking the time to share your insights with our group! Your work is greatly appreciated.
